President Tripathi's Participation Challenge will award $15,000 to the UB Fund for the top three units that have the greatest number of donors during UB Giving Day. When 30 donors make a gift to the Julia Buscaglia Student Emergency Fund in the School of Nursing, Dean and Professor Annette Wysocki will donate an additional $1,000. The Julia Buscaglia Student Support Fund was created to help UB nursing students through emergencies that may occur during their time here at the university. These funds offer temporary one-time financial assistance for immediate and current emergency situations. Emergencies involve circumstances which are beyond the student’s control, such as: death in the family, accident, loss of property, loss of income or unanticipated educational expenses.
