UB Information Technology

UB is committed to creating more opportunities for our students—expanding their minds and experiences further than ever and tapping into their full potential.

That’s why Brice Bible, vice president and chief information officer, established the UBIT Innovative Technologies Initiative. The UBIT Innovative Technologies Initiative supports learning opportunities in transformative technology and innovation in digital environments.

The initiative awarded two recipients this year: Samuel Gura and Patrick O'Shea.

Sam’s award funds a CompTIA A+ certification, which provides core knowledge about information technology and operations and will help Sam stand out to employers. He currently works as a student assistant for UBIT Customer Service Field Services.

Patrick’s award funds video equipment to start a production company focused on short documentarian, research journalism pieces. He works as a creative/graphic design student assistant for UBIT Communication and Engagement.

This will fund learning opportunities in transformative technology and innovation in digital environments for current UBIT student assistants, such as educational resources including equipment and technology and professional development opportunities.

With your help, we can help students become leaders, innovators and problem solvers in the digital environment and innovative technology fields.
