UB Giving Day 2020

The Medical Alumni Association has agreed to match all gifts made to the Health Sciences Emergency Fund, up to $30,000.

The UB Law Alumni Association is challenging other Law alumni to make a gift to the UB School of Law Student Emergency Fund. They will match dollar-for-dollar all gifts to the Law School Student Emergency Fund, up to $4,000.

If 100 donors make a gift to the School of Dental Medicine, an additional $50,000 from the UB Dental Alumni Association will be unlocked!

Several donors from the Class of 1975 have generously agreed to match all gifts made to the pharmacy school, dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000.

Jeff LiPuma, BA ‘81, has generously agreed to match all gifts, dollar for dollar, made to any student emergency fund in the School of Architecture and Planning (up to $10,000)

George S. Bobinski, emeritus professor and former dean, School of Information Science, will match all gifts dollar for dollar (up to $5,000) made to the Department of Information Science.

Dr. Carol Newcomb, PhD '96, MBA '79, has generously agreed to match all gifts, dollar for dollar, made to the UB Fund for the Graduate School of Education (up to $10,000).

Bob Farwell, EdM '75, BA '71, and Susan Farewell, EdM '76, will match all gifts, dollar for dollar, made to the Department of Counseling, School and Educational Psychology (up to $1,000).

Graham Hammill, Vice Provost for Educational Affairs and Dean of the Graduate School, will generously match all gifts, dollar for dollar (up to $2,500) to the Graduate Research Enhancement Fund

The SUNY IMPACT Foundation is committed to supporting SUNY students across the state during this unprecedented period. Working with an anonymous donor, they have committed to providing $50,000 to SUNY schools that raise an additional $50,000 for the university’s student emergency fund by June 30. Susan Grinslade, PhD, clinical professor in the School of Nursing, has agreed to match all donations, dollar for dollar, to the Community Health Equity Research Institute (up to $1,000).

Rob (MBA, '82, BS'82) and Audrey (MBA, '83, BS '82) Hunter have generously agreed to match all gifts made to the School of Management Student Emergency Fund, dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000.

An anonymous donor has agreed to match all gifts, dollar for dollar, made to the Dr. Rodney Doran Fund (up to $4,000).

Stephen Jacobson, Professor of Educational Leadership and Policy, and his wife Anita Gerber, will match all gifts dollar for dollar (up to $3,000) made to the Educational Leadership and Policy LIFTS Fund.

A group of School of Architecture and Planning alumni will generously match all gifts dollar for dollar (up to $10,000) made to the Tauke-LaMarche Scholarship Fund in honor of Beth Tauke and Jean LaMarche.

Mark Zmijewski (Ph.D '83, MBA, '81, BS, '76) wishes to honor Frank Krzystofiak and encourage Frank's former students by generously matching all gifts to the Professor Frank J. Krzystofiak Teaching Innovation Fund, dollar for dollar. *If this gift intention is to support an endowment fund, unless otherwise restricted by the gift instrument pursuant to paragraph (b) of Section 553 of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law, the institution may expend so much of the endowment fund as it deems prudent after considering the factors set forth in paragraph (a) of Section 553 of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law.
